Lenn Cox

Lenn Cox is a community organizer, artist, educator and programme maker. Graduated from the ArtEZ MA Practice Held in Common, where she initiated and co-created the manual Collective Wandering: Hanging Out with Our Everyday Ecology. Lenn explores solidarity economies by immersing herself in self-organised learning-working-living environments. Many with an eco-feminist and queer heart. While engaging navigation cards and clothes as correspondence to transfer the exchanges and stories she collects as topics of conversation. Art, for Lenn, is an embodied and relational practice rooted in everyday life. As educator and community organizer she initiates spaces
and projects that facilitate collective learning.

Lenn is a member of Collectief Z o m e r e n, in which she explores with fellow cultural workers what it means to have a collective practice at this moment in time. As linen steward, she learned how to grow, process and craft with a group our everyday textiles and garments by hand, with commoning as a guiding principle. She is a member of the Community Economies Research Network (CERN), an international network of researchers, activists, artists, practitioners and more who are interested in
ways of enacting new visions of economy. Lenn coaches participants of the ArtEZ master Critical Fashion Practices with their research. She also works as a programme maker for art space Plaatsmaken and Ruimtekoers, a cultural organization for socially engaged art and participatory
practices. Lenn lives in Arnhem (the Netherlands) and works wandering.

Transfer Resort is Lenn Cox's physical and collective wandering studio, a space to retreat. Transfer Resort is all about transferring; as a method, space and tool for exploring solidarity economies.
Through experimenting with clothes, textiles and techniques, dialogues and the transferring of ecosystems and resources. Transfer Resort's key tools are navigation cards and the transfer press also known as heat press by fashion workers in the DIY˜DIT textile- and garment industries.
